Solution
Aha! I did not add the "D" to the model number, and my Google-fu utterly failed.
Apologies :)

Will now go watch a cat video on Youtube as penance.

Also, on my Freesync monitor I had to go in to the actual monitor menu, using the controls on the monitor.
Enable Freesync there. NOT in Windows/Radeon settings.
Reboot. The option in Radeon settings then became available.
I believe this is what the OP needs to do.

Hope that works.

Thank-you for posting this answer... I feel bad because I bought this monitor about a year ago and never set it up correctly. I just found out last week that I was only running at 30HZ because I plugged in my HDMI Cable to HDMI 1 and not HDMI 2. HDMI Port 2 is the only way to get 60hz to work with HDMI Cable. Now today someone asked if I have my Freesync Enabled and after I checked it was greyed out on my monitor display when you use that jog button on the back. So I had to do more research and came across your answer here (Y) Awesome. But now I had to order a new DP cable from Amazon because I have no clue where I put the DP Cable that came with my monitor a year ago. But it is probably better that I buy a new one anyways. :bounce:
