Hey are Corsair power supplies good quality and reliable? I'm concerned about this because with my computer almost being almost a $2000 gaming pc I want a good quality power supply in my desktop computer that is from a reputable brand. It just just scares me to think that if my power supply dies it can also kill other components in my system with it also. I bought the Corsair (CP-9020103-NA). I know this power supply has 650w which is plenty of power to power my system, it is a 80 plus bronze power supply so it is quiet and power efficient, and I also know that it has 54 amps on a 12v rail. But does the brand Corsair itself have a good reputation of making high quality and reliable power supplies? If you guys were going to give me a estimate how many years of use would I be able to get out of this power supply until it just decides to die?

Corsair is a mix in powersupplies, they sell from bad to the best powersupplies.
They sell thm, they don't make them , they buy them from powersupply manufacturers like in your case CWT , and put their sticker on the unit.

That one you bought the CP-9020103-NA or cx650M, is a good unit:) can easily last 10 year or longer.

That power supply was made by CWT (Channel well technology) not corsair, Corsair just specs it out and puts their label on it. CWT makes some of the best PC power supplies in existence they also make some real lackluster power suplplies as well. Your grey label CX650M is a middle of the road power supply, I wouldn't say it very good but it's not bad, it wont melt your $2000 worth of parts. I personally would've got something better if I was spending that much, but I see no problem or danger using the psu you picked out.

That psu has a proper suite of protection circuitry, I would not worry about it taking other parts with it if it did indeed fail. Just use a good surge protector.

It has a 5 year warranty. Depending on your system and the load it puts on the psu I am confident it will last at least 5 years, more than likely another 5 years after that.
