First let me start with the build:

I7 6700k
Zotac GTX 1080
16gb DDR4 G.Skill RAM
ASUS Z170I PRO GAMING LGA 1151
Samsung Evo 250GB ssd

Last night I encountered a blue screen error on my computer that said memory failure. This morning I was going to try a MemTest but the computer won't post at all. I have encountered all sorts of hardware failures in the past, including a dead CPU, but as long as the power supply works I usually get some sort of message for the bios. When I turn my computer on, all the fans start, everything lights up, and my usb ports even work, but there is nothing on the screen. I know it's not a video error because I can hear the computer if it boots up, and there is no noise coming from any component other than the fans. The motherboard ports work for powering my fan and usb cables so the motherboard is not completely dead either.

I do not have any spare components to test with but is it safe to say this is a RAM issue? I'm just lost because everything turns on and I receive no messages at all on the screen and I cant even get in the bios. I hope it's not the motherboard because my last motherboard RMA took 3 months.

Bad RAM is a pretty good bet. The BIOS can't do anything without RAM except its own internal routines. You should, however, get some beeps from the BIOS if it detects the bad RAM. Those beeps would come from a case speaker rather than the mobo audio. It's a separate attachment. If you don't have a case speaker, get one and look up the beep code (X short beeps, Y long beeps) in the mobo manual.

If you already have a case speaker and aren't getting any beeps, try resetting the BIOS to defaults. The mobo manual will tell you how to do it.

If none of that works, it sounds like a bad mobo.

That is the thing that is bothering me the most. I had a CPU that was dead and at least it made noises, but I hear nothing from the motherboard right now. It does, however, still power up my fans and usb ports.

So I booted the ram on another PC and did a mem test, and the RAM was fine. I was able to get a hold of another motherboard and psu and swapped them out and the PC still won't post. At this point the only component that is left is the CPU but I don't see how I could have two Intel cpus die in the same year.
