Let me give you some specs
I have a Nividia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB card.
My CPU is Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz
I have 32GB of Ram
I notice in my device manager for display adapters it lists both the Intell HD Grapics and the Nividia Geforce. From researching I understand it is normal to have both. But I still question it for the following reason.
When I render a video (I use vegas video pro) my CPU usually gets up in the 90c. It hovers there until the video is done rendering and then drops back down to 32 to 36c.
When rendering a video my Geforce fans never kick on. Does that mean that the Intel HD on board graphics is being used instead of the GeForce for rendering? Otherwise, why does my CPU spike to 90c. I bought the GeForce card to help with my video projects and wondering why the fans never kick on and if it is even being used when I'm rendering a video. The GeForce card always stays under 40c.
My big concern is my CPU spiking to 90c. I have a liquid cooling fan but boy, every time I render a video I get nervous. Should I be?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
