I need to upgrade my Desktop memory I have 4gb right now should I go with 8gb or 16gb the max I can go up too is 32gb.

FX-6300, 3TB Hard Drive, 430w PSU, WIN7 Pro OS, R735OC GPU.

Yes I do gaming. I would like to stream but 4GB is not good to run it.

I guess the easy answer is 'get as much as you can afford and/or the board can use'. If 16GB is a bit too salty, 8GB will allow you to stream and game fine as long as you don't try to do much else at the same time. Many (most?) apps are still 32bit meaning they can only...

It would be nice to know the system you have, but 16GB is the "new 8GB" today. If you game and have other stuff running in the background, 8GB gets kind of cramped. If you game and are a purist like me (I have nothing un-needed running), then 8GB is fine.

If gaming isn't your thing, tell us what you do with the system.
