I'm wanting to purchase a motherboard for my desktop that will be compatible with my Intel i7-6850K CPU. However, when I put the parts together in pcpartpicker, I get this message:
Some Intel X99 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Broadwell-E CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.
This is with this motherboard: ASRock - Fatal1ty X99X Killer ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard. What motherboard can I purchase that would work with this new processor? Thanks!
