Internet slows down to a crawl every few hours

Hi everyone,
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T440P and about two weeks ago I installed Windows 10 and formatted my entire drive. I used to have Win8.1 and had no problems with my internet connection. Ever since I installed Win10, I have been noticing speed drops when surfing online. For example, while viewing a Youtube video, it suddenly stops buffering. I check my connection speed, and see that its around 100 Kbps. The problem only happens on my laptop, since other devices that are connected to the same network have a normal speed of around 40 Mbps. To solve this temporarily, I disable and re-enable my network adapter through "network connections" in the networks and sharing center. That gives me about 1-2 hours of normal internet speed until the next inevitable drop.
I assume the problem is with my laptop, since other devices don't have this problem. Though I mainly connect to my dorm room's network, I do not recall having this problem with another wireless network(I have not connected to other networks for long enough to notice a drop of speed of this sort).
Things I tried to do:
-Uninstall and reinstall the network adapter driver.
-Update my OS.
-Restarting my laptop and router.
-Check for the latest version of the network adapter driver.
-Change the SSID and password of the network, just to be sure
I am running Bitdefender free antivirus, which detects no problems after a scan.
I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me resolve this issue.

It sounds like an issue with the network interface on the PC - more than likely an issue with the driver. Are you using Windows drivers for the device or have you downloaded the driver from Lenovo's website? There may be additional drivers that Lenovo may have to solve the issue (i.e. chipset drivers).

I have the windows driver installed. Strangely enough, Lenovo have 2 WLAN drivers for my laptop: An Intel driver, and a Realtek driver(that is an outdated version of the driver I currently have installed). installed the Intel one and it didn't solve the problem. I then installed the outdated one and it also did nothing.
I also checked the chipsed drivers and there were 3 of them: Intel Management Engine, Intel Management Engine Firmware and Intel chipset device software. I installed the latter first and it didn't help. I now installed the former two(though I don't think they are related to the issue) and am trying it out. I will update if this works. Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the answer.
As I said in my previous reply, I installed the chipset drivers that Lenovo had for my laptop model and so far it didn't help.
I already had the power saving option turned off in my network adapter settings. As for the option of changing packet size or the network port, I don't know how to access these options/settings or how to change them. I would appreciate it if you could elaborate on this matter.

Installed both and it didn't help.
