Hi everyone, I have a Nvidia 1080TI (Zotac amp extreme edition) and I run a triple 27" monitor set up. I have two 144hz gaming monitors and one IPS 60hz monitor. Now I have read about graphics cards constantly running on high clocks with a set up like this and I can confirm mine does too.
My core clock runs at about 1550MHz out of a possible 1993MHz and memory runs maxed out at 5599MHz constantly even when idling.
I have read abot Nvidia inspector and using the multi display power saver utility and I can confirm it works great, my graphics card clocks down to 608MHZ core and 405MHz memory when idling or not doing much.
However is this the best and only option for getting the graphics card to clock down when not needed to be running so high? Also I game a lot and if I run nvidia inspector and forget to turn it off then my games run awfully. Its a bit of an annoyance having to remember to turn it on and off so again is it the best solution? Are Nvidia not doing anything about this?
