So I shipped my desktop which wasn't the best idea but I didn't have any other options. Before shipping I removed the graphics card and hard drive. to avoid damage to those but apparently I forgot something important. After reassembling the comp I have fans start up and I hear disk activity from the hdd but nothing displays to the monitor. Visually all the components seem fine.

I removed the graphics card, hdd, and all but one stick of RAM as per some troubleshooting guide.
I have removed the CMOS battery let it reset and reinserted
I have inspected the cpu which seems fine and reapplied thermal paste.
I have 2 monitors that I have used to check if the computer POSTs

I'm pretty sure something is broken but I'm at a loss as to how to troubleshoot further
Thanks a lot for any help guys!

Solution
the cpu chip itself may have walked a little bit out of the cpu slot. take the cooler off and unlatch the cpu and slightly press down see if it moves. if it does not move check that the case is not bent to where it shorting the io shield or bottom of the mb. look for any missing caps on the mb. look for screws or metal under the mb.
