Looking for a little advise best budget PC

Solution

It's a good budget PC. It can be improved upon a bit without too much of a price change. If you have to have Intel you can opt for the G4560. That will be less expensive with a very slight(5FPS) performance impact. You could then invest a wee bit more into your GFX card. I can only assume you are going to be gaming with it. The 1050Ti is less expensive than the 460 and is outperformed by it in most games. The 1050Ti's newer tech. also adds a little value and performance.

Let's say you will entertain the idea of an AMD based PC. The 1300x will outperform either of those CPUs. It's a little less expensive than the 6100 over here. Less money and more performance? Yes please. It will seriously outperform the 6100 with its' faster clock speeds(not the only reason) and it's also a quad core instead of a dual core. The CPU cooler is included. You can pair that CPU with ASRock's B250M-HDV . It also allows for OC'ing which has gotten a LOT simpler. That offers an even better value. You can then add the rest of your parts to this Ryzen build. Same RAM and everything else.

There will be a very slight performance penalty. Dual channel RAM being used as single channel RAM cuts its effective speed in half.

Over in here in Canada the g4560 is $143 and the 6100 is $140 (its on sale on amazon) so the 6100 is best until it goes off of sale. The rx460 4gb is about $160 and the 1050 ti is about $200 so cant go with that either unfortunately without shooting the price up.

I wouldn't personally pair a 1050ti with a R5 1600 because you won't get more performance than by using a R5 1400 or even a R3 1300X. I would say stick with ryzen but use either a 1300X if you are just gaming or a 1400 if you need (or want) the SMT.

Thanks for that. I missed the Canadian pricing.

well, yea, but his budget is low...also is easier upgrading the GPU then the CPU.
