Hi guys,
I wanted to upgrade my whole socket 775 pc. So would it be a good idea to sell my gpu to fund for a better mobo and cpu? I use it for average gaming. So will a good build do enough without gpu for the time being?

I currently use a q9400 with msi gt 1030 lp oc.

If you want to upgrade cpu+mobo at low cost but good performance look at the G4560/G4600/G4620 with a nice B250 motherboard and some 2x4gb ddr4 ram@2400mhz.But depends on what you have to spend,if used suits you better is that fine of course.

Yup, the 1030 is roughly twice as fast as the Intel HD 630 integrated graphics. While an upgrade is no doubt a good idea, I'd save up until I could do it without selling the 1030 used (considering you can find them new for about $70, a used one wasn't going to yield a big money return anyway).
