I built a new pc with a A10 7890k apu about a year ago, almost immediately began experiencing performance spikes, usually stays between 20 and 100% usage erratically with tasks like heavy web browsing, image editing and sometimes gaming, as I'm not exactly a cpu connoisseur, thought it was normal but also made me suspect only one core is working, I bought a new laptop some days ago and has an A10 9600p which definitely shouldn't have the performance my desktop cpu has, been using it for a while and no similar performance lag detected with similar workloads
