Are you willing to invest a tad more for OC'ing and more RAM or will use it "as is"?
If you're willing to invest a tad more, by all means yes. That CPU might be on the way out, but the exit door is really far away from it still, haha.
A decent HSF, decent paste, 16GB of DDR3-1866 CL10 RAM, 4.3Ghz OC (at least) and a good GPU will still last you a couple years, yes.

Still going strong on my system (see sig) and don't foresee any issues with in the next few years. It's a great 1080p system and I actually do most of my gaming at 1440p 60hz with no issue. You can't get all the eye candy but it still looks great at fairly high settings. It'll largely depend on what video card you'll be running.
I added a Fractal Designs 24C AIO to my 3570K, and was able to easily bump the turbo on the processor to 4.6Ghz and retain temps under artificial load to less than 70c on a Gigabyte Z77 Motherboard with 8GB Ram. I don't plan to change it for at least the next 2 years. with a 980ti, it plays every game I have installed at 60+ FPS on max settings.
