I just built my pc and there is no connection to the tv/monitors

I just finished my pc. It switches on ok and everything however it wont connect to the tv. I used vga to hdmi when using the mobo and hdmi straight to the tv from a gpu. What can i do?

Start by listing your PC specs, then try another adapter or cable. Then try another monitor not all TVs work well as a monitor despite the hype.

Ok, Nothing happens on the monitor too. probs an issue with the pc
Specs are:
1060 3gb
i5 7400
500gb hdd coz i had it already
500w EVGA psu
b250 ASUS mobo
Using a stock cooler
There is a orange light with flahes from time to time but some people say its just added for looks
