so i found some more ram in my house, dont know how i got it but it was new apparently.... anyway its ddr3 and my system has ddr3 ram so i thought why not try it.

the ram is ecc (i found this online searching for product number and the exact ones i have https://www.serversupply.com/MEMORY/PC3-10600/2GB/MICRON/MT18JSF25672AZ-1G4F1.htm)

so i ran it with my 8gb crucial ballisticx ram and windows booted up just fine showing the correct amount of ram (14gb- 2+2+2+8) and everything seems to be working

the ecc ram speed is 1333 and my ram speed is 1600 is (the difference between clock speeds is small so i would rather have more than a bit faster)

Is it safe to run these in my computer?

Solution
The general rule of thumb is to NOT combine different types of memory whether it be 1333 or 1600.

You want to match the RAM - otherwise this can potentially cause issues to other components.
