I7 920 @2.66Ghz P6T MOBO GPU Question

Hello,

I have an older build computer with:

I7 920 CPU @2.6Ghz
24 Ram
P6T Motherboard
Nvidia 9400gt GPU

I would like to install
Strix Gtx 750 it OC 2gd5 Graphic Card and would like to know how to install the card. I never updated my bios so it’s still from 2009.

Can I just take out the old card and put this one in or are there any specific steps I need to take before installing it?

I also plan on Overclocking my cpu to 3.2Ghz.

use DDU, uninstall the gpu drivers


turn off the computer


swap the cards, make sure your monitor has more than VGA connector as most newer cards do not have this port any longer


if it only has VGA, then you will need to buy an active (powered) adapter first

turn on, install...
