So I recently started to build my pc and when I turned it on it didn't work out so I bought two more power supplys (On accident) but they were both different, one was evga and one was corsair and the corsair 24 pin connector was really difficult to bend so I just used the 24 pin connector from the evga power supply, turn it on and nothing. I am thinking that this is the issue but I am also confused if I have a cpu connector one 8 pin and 4 pin, do I need to connect both or just the 8 pin and if I had just connected the 8 pin is it possible that this could keep it from starting up completely?

Thanks

Crosshair VI needs only the 8 pin connected to work, if you can connect the 4 pin as well its reccomended. That said you should not mix and match cables from different brand PSUs they may be wired differently. At best it won't work, at worst you can do damage to the motherboard.
