Hello everyone,

I keep lagging on a decent computer trying to play WAW, i run the CanIRunIt test on the computer. It was good for everything except for the video card which said "Shader 3.0 or better, 256MB Nvidia GeForce 6600GT/ATI Radeon 1600XT or better" the game ran at a choppy 30 FPS.

Surprisingly my notebook which is 2x times badder that the computer manage to get a smooth 60 FPS in WAW. I really don't know the computer gets that kind of FPS, or how my notebook can run the game more smoothly. Can you help find a solution for this problem?

System of the computer

Processor: Intel(R) CPU G620 @ 2.60 GHz 2.60 GHz
RAM 4.00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System windows 7

System of the notebook:

Processor: Processor Intel® Celeron® 1019Y
Processor Speed: 1GHz
GPU Model: Intel HD Graphics
Ram 2.GB
System type: 64-bit Windows 8.1

By the way the computers WAW settings is set to the lowest. While my notebook is set to the normal settings. Also the computer does not have any overheating problems.

Hmm I am kind of surprised that the game runs so well on the laptop, you are kind of scraping by on those minimum requirements, but I like that :).

Well the only thing I can think of as to why the laptop is performing better is that it is using a faster speed RAM, 1333 or 1600 MHz Ram, compared to the your desktop with 1066MHz RAM. Usually this would not be the major factor in other computers, but because you are using the iGPU for gaming, faster RAM is a major factor in iGPU performance in gaming.

Looking at the age of the processors I am going to assume that your desktop and laptop are on the older side. If they are you will want to dust the computer by getting a can of compressed air and blowing out the dust out of the vents and...

If they are you will want to dust the computer by getting a can of compressed air and blowing out the dust out of the vents and fans. Heat buildup can definitely cause performance loss and drops, especially when gaming.

Best of luck getting the best performance out of your computers.

The desktops integrated gpu is way below min spec for the game and the celeron barely matches the minimum specs. Sine the celerons igpu is way superior (still really bad tho) than the desktops it runs a lot better on it.
