Jus tread a thread on here that said asus has poor customer service and a poorer performance quality to that of Gigabyte or Asrock. Is this the general consensus these days? I would have thought the reverse was true.

Im looking at getting a 300 series mobo either the Z370 AORUS Gaming 7 or the Maximus Hero X
Any suggestions on which is the better choice would be appreciated

Yeah I agree with jaslion. It depends on the specific product. I had an asus strix r9 390x and in my opinion it was the worse gpu I ever used. Should've done more research before buying it. It was one of the hottest 390x for a non-reference design, it was apparently because they just took their same cooler design from their nvidia card and put it on the 390x. On the other hand, I also have an Asus motherboard which I really like, have no problem with it and just great. Currently using a gtx 1080 from gigabyte and it have some annoying coil whine, apparently its a hit or miss if you get it so.. yeah my luck with gpus arent very good lol. But software wise, I think theyre both as bad with glitchy programs.

You can't compare a brand to a brand when comparing products. Then you need to do it on a product by product basis in the same price class. Honestly the least bad costumer support I've had from big company's was Asrock since and no questions asked they helped me every time even when I had to return 1 motherboard after another since a whole shipment arrived defective.

All three you mentioned have good products but it depends on the product. I'm not loyal to any company and am sure to look into the product I buy first. As for CS, their big companies so it's not that great but I never really hold onto a product for more than a year or so.
