Hi!

I started to look around about components for a new pc but i've been out of the loop for quite some time so all this mew processors and motherboards sound new to me smh.

I wonder if someone could help me building a new PC (Everything less the case) not just for gaming but for overall work... usually i'm doing 100 things at the same time at the coumputer with 30 websites open 4 or 5 audio plugins and managing data from folders to other folders (I know that doesnt need a big cpu my 8350fx does all that and its cool, what i'm saying is that i dont want a cpu that is only good for gaming)... And i want something that will be top notch for some years, as long as possible,,,

Also, I always had AMD and was kinda curious about trying intel, but for what i've seen doesnt seem worth it, AMD is killing it right now for what i've seen in the internet or am i wrong?!

My budget can go 3500€ (buying the components in one month and the graphic card on another month).

I would be very grateful if someone could help me :)

Solution
well it is hotly debated if AMD is better than Intel for at least 20 years now. I base information on proof. and need.
so latest Intel versus Ryzen looks like this as I know it... but its is very close and prices are, lets say exorbitant.

so based on this detail, I built you an I9 system, without a case as requested.

As for a threadripper in the UK could only find a 1800x so, the performance compared to the one above looks like this below, of course the price tag dropped.
