Hello sirs! I need a recommendation of a $300 processor motherboard and ram (no GPU)build. I already have a CPU case, peripherals, a true rated 450w bronze PSU, monitor, HDD and much more. I just want a new system thats quite fast loading without SSD(will get one soon) Good for Home-based skype job. A bit of gaming and future proof. Thanks!

Just a few questions before I can help out here.

What form factor does your case support?

Do you have a processor? I’m confused by your “CPU Case”

What is a true rated psu? I’ve never heard of that. Can you list the brand and model? I’d always suggest buying a new psu whenever you upgrade an older system.

Lastly, do you have a cpu cooler?

Thanks, LC

there is some slight room if you want to change to slightly more expensive part, you can also get ryzen 5 1400 for 20 bucks over $300, the cooler were actually not necessary to get, because the included cooler were already been pretty decent, but the hyper 212 can handle slight overclocking slightly better than the stock cooler, the reason why i choose the b350 rather than a320 is because of overclocking that can make you have that extra performance. by the way there is upcoming intel coffe lake, probably consider first before buying

Coffee lake is out already.
I’d suggest an i3-8100 over Ryzen as he is looking for a quick, stable system. Ryzen has its bugs.

While 2133MHz RAM is okay, Ryzen seems to like faster RAM but that would exceed your budget.

True rated means nothing in the world of PCs. Gaming is yet another marketing term that can also be ignored. Bronze, silver, gold and platinum are a few ratings. 80+ bronze is an example of a PSU's efficiency rating.

Ryzen CPUs don't have an integrated GPU. Are you saying you aren't going to use a dedicated GFX card or you already have one?

the ram bugs were mostly fixed, even though some still have it. also consider the cost, intel cpu were not as cheap as amd's. which be the main challenge in tight budget. my bad not knowing the coffe lake has been in the market, BUT do you know if the coffe lake motherboard that is currently on market still only the z370, who wants to pair unlocked cpu with that kind of high end mobo

Also remember he has no gpu. Ryzen has no iGPU, however any form of integrated graphics will not be able to run games as he had hoped.

If you want to do some very casual gaming, just pick up an rx 550 or a gt 1030 for about 70-ish bucks.
