Probably not the best motherboard to do OC'ing on. no heat syncs on the VRMs and poor phase power. You do so at your own risk...
In BIOS, disable turbo mode and increase the CPU multi a click at a time. Save, reboot, and test for stability and temps. If good, repeat. When you get an unstable result, you can either back off and live with that, or begin increasing the vcore (CPU voltage) to enable stability again and continue. On that board, I would advise against the latter. Best to get what you can with the multi alone.

so I should only oc my cpu with the multiplier things without changing any cpu voltage? that way is more safe?

OC'ing is never 100% safe. And on lesser boards, even less safe. But the Asus is a good low end board. See what you can do increasing the multiplier only. When you arrive at an unstable OC, instead of increasing the core voltage to regain stability, it might be best to back off and just live with the last stable OC you got.

FYI; clock speed of a processor is based on the system clock x the CPU multiplier. Your system has a 200MHz base clock, and the FX 6300 has a default multiplier of 17.5. The stock CPU clock speed is 200mhz x 17.5 = 3500mhz

yes you right. i have asus board and i oc it just multiplier on FX 8300. now i run at 4GHz without increasing Vcore. i just play with load line and set it 25% so Vcore stay 1.236V full load, idle 1,260V. you shuld search base Vcore for you CPU.
