Can I replace the CPU in my Sony Vaio svf152c29m from Intel Pentium 987 to Intel Core i52410

Hi,

I am looking to upgrade the CPU in my sony vaio svf152c29m but I am not sure if the new CPU will be compatible. I did research for the last few days but without much success. Please help :)

No you cannot upgrade it as the CPU is soldered into motherboard. The processors which are officially shown to be compatible with are definitely compatible with the socked but are dedicated to higher end models of the same version of laptop. And all the other CPUs are also soldered onto the motherboard.

Simply you cannot upgrade the CPU.
