Hi, I just got a new pc a few months ago. I noticed that it isn't performing as I think it should be. This is what my computer has:
-AMD RX480 4gb
-Intel i5 7th gen running at 3.0ghz
-8 gb ram
When I play overwatch at only high, the gpu temperature goes to about 80 and I get many frame drops. In GTA I get very low frame rates on normal or high(lowest and second lowest settings) and really high temperatures. I know that my pc should be doing better. I have tested on benchmarks and I should be running these games very well. I am not 100 percent sure on this next fact but I think that It was performing better about 2 months ago(just after I got it). Why is this happening and how can i fix it. Please help. Feel free to ask me questions to help find the problem. Thanks! :D

are you monitoring cpu temps?

80 degrees for a gpu is ok while under load

I know that but I am still getting horrible performance and I am getting those temperatures on lower, less taxing settings.

I always leave my CPU alone and I checked mt CPU temps today and they are normal(49-55) when in game. It may be worth noting that today when I was playing GTA 5 on lower settings then I normally do, I was getting GPU temps of 89! This was a first time. It may also be worth noting that my PC is much better than my brothers and he can run GTA 5 fine on higher settings then I play on.
