Does your motherbaord support the higher speed? If not, it will just down clock the new memory.

If it does support the faster RAM you probably won't notice a difference in anything other than benchmark testing. That depends somewhat on what your are doing. If you are doing something RAM intensive like AI you might notice a difference but you won't notice a difference in business applications or most games. There's a lot that goes into your system performance other than memory.

my motherboard is a asus maximus vii hero, cpu is a i5 4690k overclocked to 4.6ghz 1.275 volts
