So I'm wondering which motherboard I should choose for the new coffee lake processors. I'm getting the i5 8400 so at the moment, I might upgrade later, I won't need to do much overclocking and I'm mostly going to use wifi so I'm probably going to get an adapter if I don't use a motherboard. It really depends on what your other priorities like additional ports and connections you need, case size and appearance/color theme, and features of the mobo you prefer.

The MSI mobos in your 3 choices have an edge in OC voltage regulation due to the higher number of power phases. The Gigabyte has the edge in BIOS chips featuring DualBIOS (Main + Backup).

Since you also specifically mentioned SLI'ing in the future, only the MSI mobos in your list support that, the Gigabyte can only support CrossFire.

I would suggest looking through these comparison charts I made so you can easily compare the features each of the 3 mobos offer and decide on which ones you need or don't need. The list includes other Z370 mobos available in the...
