it started to happen almost everytime.. after i shut down my pc, pull the plug from the wall socket and go to sleep, next day when i turn on my pc it doesn't start, i don't hear a beeping sound, black screen and no post, i have to turn it off/on again so it can work.. this only happens when i let my pc off for a long period of time.. but if i turn it off and on instantly it works fine.. what could it be?

Motherboard : Gigabyte H61M- S2p
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
CPU: i5-3470
GPU: Sapphire 7870XT
Ram: 4GB G.Skill + 4GB Kingston ValueRam = 8GB
PSU: Thermaltake 500watt

PS: the PSU is more than enough, so i doubt its the problem.

Solution
could be two issues. one the cmos battery may be weak. when it drains out the mb loses it setting so it posts from onboard video and not the gpu. on reboot the mb boots from the gpu. if it not a weak battery i look to try a test power supply. unit you have is a known unit that not a good unit.

thank you. i suspected that it could be the battery, but the problem is that i don't have a jumper so i can clear the cmos battery.. is there anyway i can clear the cmos battery or make it become stronger without a jumper?.

sorry for bringing it up.. i just wanted to update you that other problems happened after this one. PSU started to make constant rattling/buzzing sound after cleaning it with blower, then after a couple of days when it turn on my pc it powers on for 2 seconds and reboots in a loop.

changed my thermaltake psu with FSP HEXA+ 500W PSU and all problems solved.. its just one of them did happened again once. when i left my pc for hours unplugged and turned it on i got no beep&no post, i gave my case a little shake and secured the VGA cable more tightly, pc booted normally and its gone.

what could it be this time? its impossible to be my new PSU. could a vga cable isn't plugged tightly make pc doesn't beep?, from what i know there will be just no post but windows will start normally and pc will beep.

it just happened once and didn't happened again until now, but I'm a little worried it might happen again.

UPDATE: it happened again today when i woke up, and i noticed that the problem gone after i shake my case a little bit, so its not the VGA cable.
