Can I run a phenom II 1045T with 800 speed RAM? I saw on a site that the processor supports ddr2 1066 and ddr3.

Also the reason I'm asking this is because I can't get the pc to boot with 800 speed RAM, wondering if 1066 will solve this problem

It may be your motherboard. Thats a 95w CPU if your board isn't up to the task that may be why its not booting.

BIOS update is worth it if its an older board created before that Phenom came out. Are you 100% sure that cpu is even compatible? Not all boards worked with the newer Phenom chips.

Yes it's compatible, I did a lot of research before I bought it. I'll go ahead and try a bios update. Thanks for the help!
