I am interested in building my first computer for gaming. I have been using macbooks for a while and trying to play games on them is miserable.

One game i'm looking to play is Cities: Skylines, among others, and want great performance.

I was looking at these two graphics cards. are they good for what I want?

ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 560 4GB Gaming GDDR5 DP HDMI DVI AMD Graphics Card

EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti SC GAMING, 4GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Graphics Card

no set budget, i just want to get decent enough technology/performance for a good price. Yes, i live in US. Major usage would be gaming for shooters and simulation games. 1080p and best FPS i can get.

I'm not too familiar with PC gaming. I usually play on PS4. I will probably hook it up to my TV so no monitor needed.

Thank you very much!!

Before everyone starts suggesting stuff from pcpartpicker.com, I would suggest to search and see if you have a microcenter store near you. If you do, they usually have good bundle deals. For example, usually on AMD processors they will give you 30 dollars off a compatible motherboard. Plus the reps there, at least the one near me for the most part seem to have a good idea what they are talking about and are good at answering questions.

Plus you can buy protection plans with them, and they have decent return policies etc.

Only want to note that they charge tax on both CPU and MB but pcpartpicker has included all the fees including tax. There are so few micro centers... Fry's will be a good choice too if you are lucky to have one nearby :) One more thing is NewEgg will do CPU/MB bundle for some combinations, pcpartpicker will not pick it up.

This was a few years ago. That's how long so since it happened. They have great pricing don't get me wrong. The last time I attempted to purchase something, which was a tablet as a Christmas gift for my wife, they would not accept my payment because my PayPal was locked to a PO Box and wouldn't do a credit/debit card on the phone. I remember there being enough have I just went to the local best buy and bought one lol.

Maybe they do better now than they used to.

One online shop that it's a shame was bought out is tigerdirect.com. they used to be really good for buying parts, but got bought out by someone else a while back. The last I heard was not to buy from them because at the time they were essentially just trying to dump all of their inventory.
