Good morning everyone,

I need you all to help me solve some doubts.

I have set up a custom water cooler and I want to buy a 1080 Ti, just to play. I am in doubt between aorus 1080 ti waterforce wb extreme edition or evga 1080 ti kingpin, so far I have not seen any coherent explanation to justify the price difference between the two cards, almost $ 200. being that if I chose the kingpin I would still have to buy the hydro cooper wb for her, which would be another 200 dollars. I see no point in spending that price difference just to play. What do you think?

My question is,
1. Will I have inferior graphics quality with aorus?

2. when it comes to guarantee, I would not lose in the aorus, and in evga I would lose.

3. Can I put this aorus near the 2000mhz clock?

4. Is this voltage and clocks greater than the noticeable difference in the graphics or fps of the games?

To finish and complement, I'm using an asus rog strix z370e gaming with i7 8700k and 64gb ram ddr4.

Thank you all!!!!

The max clock speed really depends more on your luck in the silicon lottery and really the range between the best and worst chip is likely 100mhz, so no real world difference in performance. My Asus Strix runs 2050mhz daily and I have seen even FE cards run 2063 or 2076 when the blower cooler is replaced with a water block. I would get the cheaper Aorus card with the block already installed. It is a factory overclocked card and will likely hit 2ghz or higher out of the box, plus you can always overclock it. If you do still go with the Kingpin, EVGA is one of the few companies that doesn't void your warranty if you remove the factory cooler.
