I've built a PC and I'm only missing a couple of components to finish it, and I was wondering about using an old PC's HDD.
For my OS (and some games) I'm gonna use a Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD but I took an HDD out of an OEM PC from Packard Bell, it's from Seagate, it runs at 7200 RPM and has 500 GB of storage. The old OEM system hasn't been working in a while and I was wondering if it's safe to use the HDD or if any virus may damage the system since I don't know what is in the HDD. Thanks!
