Hello everyone,

I have this problem when every time I play games like within the first 30 mins it shuts down and turn on back again automatically. Then after it turns on and I re launch the game, my PC turns off in a mere 5-8 mins and turns on back again automatically.

Note: Have this problem for like 3 weeks now and I formatted my PC last week but the problem still persists.

Things I have tried before writing this thread
1. Memtest with all my rams (4x2GB RAM) together in my computer - PC did not turn off

2. Memtest individually with my rams. - PC did not turn off

3. GPU Stress test using FurMark in highest resolution, full screen and anti-aliasing set to 8x. - Ran test for 20 mins, max temps 65 degrees, PC did not turn off

4. Aida64 Stress test with CPU, FPU, Memory, Hard Disk, GPU and System Cache. - CPU max temps 52 degrees and GPU temps 65 degrees - PC turns off in merely 10 mins

5. Aida64 Stress test with individual components
a. CPU Stress Test - 1st run PC turned off in 5mins, 2nd run PC does not turn off (20 mins stress test). Max temps 52 degrees.
b. Cache Stress Test - 20 mins, PC did not turn off, Max CPU temps 52 degrees.
c. RAM Stress Test - Ran for 25 mins, PC shut down at the 25 mins mark.
d. HDD Stress Test - 20 mins, PC did not shut down.

My PC specs below
CPU - Intel Core i5 2500k
MOBO - MSI B75MA-P45
RAM - 4x2GB Kingston Genesis
GPU - Gigabyte RX 460 2GB
PSU - Thermaltake Hamburg 530W
SSD - Kingston SSDNow V300 128GB
HDD - Hitachi 500GB
CASING - Antec 1200 full tower

Can anybody please help me out?

Solution
well the only way is a PSU tester and they cost about the same as a new PSU
PSU Tier list tier 1-2 are good for gaming
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

I would recommend an EVGA SuperNova Gold G2 / or new G3 /GS / GQ, Platinum P2 / PS, or Titanium T2 or a Seasonic M12-II Evo or S12-II
GOOD PSU EVGA is a B2, G2, G3, P2, GS, PS, or T2. Avoid the EVGA B1 and G1 series/ I bought a EVGA G3 with 7year garentee

Power supply Calculator
or a corsair 500 600 cxm there not very expensive but quite good not my cup of tea but quite cheap

3 Years probably, you think it's only the PSU? Because most threads i've read they seem to say PSU but how can I be sure it's PSU? I don't want to invest then continue having the same problem afterwards.

Thank you for such a precise answer, I used the tool as well it says my PC consumption is 375W and a recommended PSU would be 450W but I'll go for 500W - 550W.

I'll use this list you sent and get a PSU which is within Tier 1/2.

Thank you very much! :)

There are lots of reasons for crashing. But restarting by itself, you might have a poltergeist in the house. Did you solve the problem? Please check the 'best Answer' to give credit to whom solved your problem.
Did you update your drivers and bios?
Depending on the game, they sometimes remember crashes. It gets programmed into them (yeah, it's weird). Reset or set the game to default settings.
Hope this helps.

Yeah, those EVGA and Seasonic PSUs are pretty good stuff. Very dependable quality..

I'm sure it's not programmed to the game as it occurred with other games and sometimes when my PC is idle but the only thing I don't understand last time i ran a stress test for 1 hour on all my pc components and it did not turn off, so I can't even know what the issue is.
I already formatted my pc but i haven't changed my PSU as I can't afford it atm.
I'll choose a solution once I change my PSU and if this fixes it then RARRAF is the best solution.
