Does my PSU work for what I want to get?

So, as of right now I am working with the following:
An MSI 1060 GTX Gaming x 3GB as GPU
An Intel Core i7 7700k 8MB Cache Quad Core as CPU
A Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Air cooler as CPU cooler
An MSI Bazooka B150M as Motherboard
16GB of RAM
A total of 1,5GB in SSD memory (devided over 2 250GB and 1TB SSD)

Everything is ran at normal clocking speed, nothing is overclocked or anything like that.

Alongside this I have different controllers, a drawing tablet, a DVD drive, 2 gaming keyboards (sometimes connected at the same time) a gaming mouse and 2 monitors, 1 27inch and the other 24, ran at 144hz and 60hz

My PSU at the moment is the Corsair CX600 which is 600Watts, which thus far seems to be enough

However, I want to upgrade to an MSI GTX 1080 (or 1070) Gaming X 8GB GPU.

With my current PSU and Motherboard, is this still possible or not?

Thanks in advance

Yeah quality is very important and the CX600 is from the old range which are fairly low quality. Seen lots of reports of the old CX PSU working for 1-2 years and then failing, sometime with no warning and causing damage to other components. Personally I wouldn't even risk your 1060 on it.

Which power supply in that case would you recommend?

So would you in this case recommend me to get a new PSU before the GPU? Because I've got the GPU already and the PSU will come next month.

Do you think it'd be wise to stick to my 1060 until I have the new PSU or do you think using the 1080 for about half a month will cause no harm?

Yeah I get what you're saying. But it's for really short term (18 days maximum) so I guess I'll take the ''risk''.

Thanks for the advice!
