Hello!

So I have currently a custom built PC that I built around July of 2016. It has worked completely fine ever since I built it. Although today, while I had Battlefield 4 open in the menus while talking with friends on Discord, my PC randomly shut off. It would not turn back on. The front dust panel had a decent amount of dust. After cleaning off the dust and putting the panel back in, still nothing. I figured it could have overheated due to this and waited 1 or 2 hours before trying again, still no response from the PC.

I would also like to note that there is a green light that is on inside on the MOBO, as well as a white breathing light on the left side of it. My keyboard, a Corsair Strafe RGB, still has its LEDs on which does confuse me.

The specs of the PC are:

CPU: i5-6600K
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Asus Z170-PRO ATX LGA1151
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4-2666
SSD: Samsung EVO 256GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 8GB DDR5
Case: NZXT H440
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-Bit
PSU: EVGA Supernova 650 G2

Any help would be appreciated!

Solution
Flip the on/off switch at the back of the psu to off for a few hours and then test again.Maybe a security feature was used and needs to reset. With a bit of luck will it work again.

So when you press the power button, you see some lights but do you see any fans spinning? I think it maybe the psu because the psu is supplying the correct amount of voltage and as a result you see lights, but then when you go to try to turn it on, nothing happens as psu can't put out enough load or amps. So test the psu real quick. However, because it was overheating, it could be the motherboard or cpu is dead as a result. Always make sure you clean your computer of any dust at least twice every 3 months in what I do.

No, no fans spin when I try and press the power button. I did realize that flipping the On/Off button on the PSU does turn these lights on and off.
