Hello guys, I found a guy selling his EVGA GeForce GTX1070 8GB FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 for a very low price(360euros) and I was thinking to buy it. Im playing 1080p/60hz, i know 1070 is overkill, but my question is, should I buy it? Cause I read that it has some problems with heat etc, he bought it from Newegg, and he says that it has thermal pads on its memory and backplate, what do you think?

there was no real problem with heat. it was a batch of faulty components. though temps were a bit high (still in safe range) so they started to put thermal pads on VRM and it solved the issue.
as for the 1080p - it's not that overkill. some games are really use it to the max to get around 60.
