Hi All!

I built this PC using PCPartPicker, and I was curious if this is a good build for video editing? My budget is under $750-ish, so if this is a good build, then I might be in good shape! One thing I need to know is if the RAM is okay for the Ryzen 5 1600 & the mobo, as I've heard some RAM technicalities involving Ryzen. Thanks for the help!

Solution
1. never mix different rams, may not work together
2. Good otherwise, although the case is not ideal.

My edit:

First off you need identical ram. Two different sticks of different sizes and most likely different timings is no good. Getting a single set of 2 sticks for running dual channel is a must for video editing. Secondly with Ryzen the faster the better. So from 2666 to 3200mhz is recommended for optimal performance.

I see. I thought that as long as the RAM had the same speeds and was the same brand it would be alright. My mistake though. Thanks!

What's wrong with the case? Thanks for your edited build though!

I have the DVD drive in their because I burn a lot of my films I make onto discs. As for the monitor, I'm planning on using a 27"(I think) TV that my Grandpa gave our family.

The case you picked is Cheaply built, Bends easy and Comes apart if put under stress.
Don't use separate RAM, even they are same model, a pack of 2 is preferred because they are designed and have been tested. Many people reported separate rams do not work, especially for Ryzen.

That makes sense. Also, why did you change the motherboard?
