Like 6 months ago i bought a [strike]nee[/strike] new gtx 1050 and installed the latest bios version to run it. In those 6 months it happened two times that my bios got corrupted and was set back to its first version. the problem is that i have to remove my gpu and have to flash the good bios version first to be able to use my pc again. Is there a reason why this happens, or something to prevent it?

if your using a newish msi or gigbyte mb check in the bios that web update is off. the mb may be updating from the web and grabbing the wrong bios file. same for any gigbyte or msi program for the mb that came with the mb on the cd. the last issue could be a bad power that causing the mb to fall over to the back up bios. if the error still there send the mb in for replacment.

The thing is that it happened quite soon after i installed my GPU. Does it has something to do with this you think? And besides that, how can i check if my battery is bad
