So for the past ~10 months my keyboard has stopped working on startup, and a message pops up saying
"Keyboard Error Press ESC key for startup menu" but I can't press ESC, since my keyboard isb't working. And a few hours ago, my computer said "Recovery Your PC needs to be repaired Your Boot Configuration File is missing some required information
File:\BCD
Error Code: 0xc000000d
Youll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device) contact your system administrator or PC Manufacturer

Press ESC for UEFI Firmware Settings" and then my computer shuts off, I looked into it and apparently I need a system repair disc or some kind of "key" which I don't have, and I saw someone say you could enter the options by pressing "F8" during startup, but I can't, since my keyboard doesn't work on startup. How can I fix this/these problems?

Solution
Just make sure when you crate the windows installation media on another system, that it has the same OS as idk if a different OS windows media installation will work.

Try plugging the keyboard usb into another usb slot. If that doesn't work, then try using another keyboard. Course, then is assuming you have a desktop and not a laptop. Once we get the keyboard thing fixed, then the other error is easy.

I have a desktop, and I tried putting it in another usb port (also tried putting it in the top left one) but it didn't work. I have a SteelSeries Apex 350 keyboard, with backlights so there's two usb cables for it.

1. Get PS/2 keyboard;
2. Boot from Windows installation media;
3. Go to command prompt and fix bcd store
  • bcdboot c:\windows
(it's possible in recovery environment windows partition may have a different drive letter. You can find it with diskpart, command: list volume)
