Ryzen 5 1600X - can I disable XFR?

My Ryzen 5 1600X seems to love hitting 50 degrees after 30-40 minutes of being idle.

Is there any way apart from overclocking to disable XFR? It's taking the voltage to 1.5V which is understandably getting the processor very hot.

If I do have to overclock to disable XFR, what voltage should I use to hit 3.6GHz?

I am using an NZXT Kraken X52 AIO cooler by the way with thermal paste that comes pre-applied to it.

Solution
If your cooler is getting power it should not hit that temp at idle. if it does then it is not a fault of the CPU but the cooler. i would try getting some thermal compound and reinstalling the cpu cooler. I would also check to make sure the AIO is plugged into the correct fan header. If it isn't plugged into a CPU fan header it will not necessarily ramp with the cpu temperature. you can check this first. also consider your fan setup. do you have enough air moving through the cooler for it to work properly? You do not need to disable XFR and it will only make your life worse

idle temps are pretty high alright. Just set the vcore manually. depending on what mobo you have, you can try set it at 1.35 or something with a -.05 offset to give 1.3v. That would be fine for that chip. See if it reduces temps a little. but t does sounds as if the cooler is not seated right or functioning correctly.
