Hello,

So my pc has been randomly crashing for the last few months and I am unsure why. 2 weeks ago I upgraded my Motherboard and CPU thinking it was the problem.. it wasn't.

Unfortunately i'm not amazing with pcs so I would love some advice from you guys as to what the problem might be.

So the crashes usually when I load up games like Ark Survival Evolved, Warhammer 2 and PlayerUnknown BattleGrounds. Without any warnings it shuts down and then reboots. As i've said, I am not the best when it comes to technical stuff like this and would appreciate any given.

My Specs:
OS: Windows 10 64 bit
CPU: Intel i7 7700@3.60GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z270P-D3-CF
RAM: 8GB DDR4 (also occured when I had 12GB of ddr3 ram in my old Motherboard)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 760
PSU is 780W

I have done a reinstall of Win10 and still hasn't happened. I have been able to check temp of the parts before the crash, the highest temp recorded was 64 degrees on the GPU.

Any other questions Id happily answer, though please bare in mind Im not hugely tech savey so plain english would be helpful.

Thanks again

Solution
I was able to run Ark perfectly fine for 5 hours, then it restarted my pc and now I am unable to stay lobger then 10 minutes in the game before it crashes.
The problem may be caused by overheat (cpu or GPU), or the PSU, which may overheat during the gaming for 5 hrs.
1) Go into the BIOS, something like PC hardware monitor or health monitor section, check the +3.3V, +5V, and +12V. You want to see those voltages are within +/- 5%, like +5.5V, if the number is within +4.75 to +5.25, the PSU is ok, otherwise the PSU has problem.

2) If you had two monitors, you may use the software to monitor the CPU temp, because you didn't post the temp for cpu, and Ark is the cpu intensive games, also what cpu did you use? The software like...
PSU is 780W
From the wattage, I think that PSU is not the good one. And you said the temp is fine, so I will say the PSU has problem. But before you buy the PSU, you can test the gtx760 in other PC to make sure the gtx760 works, you will need good brand 500W or up for your PC.

Unfortunately there isn't another computer I am able to test the GPU in. Is there any test of sorts I could run to make sure it is not the problem?

Also if its any help to your answer, I was able to run Ark perfectly fine for 5 hours, then it restarted my pc and now I am unable to stay lobger then 10 minutes in the game before it crashes. Also I have noticed that my Harddrive is running at 100% according to Task Manager when loading the game and at occasions mid game when loading in new areas. When its not at 100% the reading is around 10% tops.

3) For the 100% HDD usage, it just showed you that your PC runs more programs at the same time, it will cause your PC slow down.
