I'm currently having a problem with my motherboard where my computer spontaneously shuts off at random intervals. Even doing a System Repair did not fix the problem, so I assume it's a hardware issue. I've got a new motherboard on the way, but for now, I have to stay in safe mode to keep the computer from just randomly turning itself off.
I'm trying to scan some documents I got in the mail today. However, the computer doesn't see the printer. I've plugged it in, but it still says I need to install a printer!
If I can get only a few minutes outside safe mode, the printer is instantly recognized by Windows. It just shuts off before I have the opportunity to actually scan any pages and save them.
Any tips on how to get the computer to see the printer in safe mode?
