2gb RAM with 4gb RAM combination

I have two slots of memory which is one slot is my old 2gb RAM, that's mean i only have one empty slot, i want to add new 4gb RAM, will it be more faster?

If the RAM is compatible with the system and plays nice with the old stuff, you should have a slightly faster system, yes. Because it won't be off-loading data to and from the hard drive (virtual memory) as much if at all.
