Okay so I don’t know if this is the right place to post this...but I I really need help from someone who knows their (*mod edit) about the internet (cabling, wireless and extenders). This is the situation: I live in an area where I cannot for the life of me get good wired internet. I recently got satellite but the ping makes it very challenging for most things. My family’s good friend whom lives around 1000 feet from me has fiber optic.... yes I know wow why can’t I right? I live in a kind of...grey area... so she has gladly agreed to let us use her internet as she is old and doesn’t use it for much. I need to know from you guys what would be the best way to wire her internet or extend it (or a combination) to my place. I really hope it is possible to accomplish with reasonable ping and packet loss. TIA!!

<Language, please. Thanks>

Nobody here is going to be able to help you with ways to connect to somebody else's internet. Unfortunately questions like this are not usually of the legit type, so it's just a no go. Sorry, but without knowing for a fact, with no doubt at all, that this is something that has been approved by the other person, it's got to be considered a shady attempt to patch in to a neighbors connection and we can't help or offer advice on how to do that. Sorry.
