LGA 2011-3 or LGA 2066

Hi

I have a LGA 2011-3 motherboard and was looking to upgrade my CPU they i saw the new LGA 2066 is it worth going for one of them or just upgrading the LGA 2011-3.

Depends what you are doing. The 10core i9 7900X is still $1000 on the 2066 platform. Give it a year for the 2011v3 socket and XEON CPUs will be flooded on ebay just like the 2011 (X79) socket did once the 2011v3 came out. Its easy to get a 12 core for under $400 and a 8core for $80. However when comparing to anything new, it's not any faster than the newly released i7 8700k.
