Purchased Used Motherboard: No Power LEDs Anywhere

I bought a used MSI Z270 Gaming m5 for way too cheap today ($50). I looked at it and everything looked in good shape. I figured even if it was broke it would give me some good practice on troubleshooting, and if I fixed it then I would receive that sweet satisfaction of getting the job done.

6 hours later...and I have zero progress. I noticed there were some bent pins so I wanted videos on fixing them, and put them back in place (I still believe bent pins could be the issue). Then, I made sure the 24 pin and 8 pin connectors were in place properly, and then checked the system reset and system power pins were connected properly.

I then tried powering it on, but the only light that would power on was the CMOS light. No debug, no system power lights. Nothing.

This process has repeated for hours with no luck. So, my question is; would this be the bent CPU pins? Would it now allow any system lights to power on? I tried my old Motherboard again and it booted properly.

I mean, sure it may be broke, but that doesn't mean it can't be fixed. There are many things I can look at that could potentially fix, so I was looking to hear from anyone that has experience fixing motherboards.

It will cost more to replace the socket then it would cost to just buy a new motherboard. It would have to be shipped overseas. Then the cost of the part,.labor, and then shipping it back..

Frankly it is most likely not even possible to do as the pcb is in layers. All the leads on the motherboard connected to the socket will be compromised if the old socket is removed.

Sorry, you have a 50 dollar paperweight.

Forgot to update you on this, I ended up being able to fix it. Took about an hour or so but kept at trying to make sure all the pins were pointing up, and once they looked better, I tried booting and everything worked. It's been a couple weeks now and have had 0 issues. Thought I'd update you.
