Need good psu

Yes. Think about it this way...Apart from the fact that you will get a 10 year warranty with the G3. Drive a car that can go 100mph at 90mph all the time. It will get hotter, be louder and may eventually die sooner. Drive a car with a top speed of 200mph and drive it at 90mph the entire time. It will be quieter, run cooler and should have a longer life.

Is 304W true? Sometimes it might be. It depends on your PC load. You are however right in your supposition that a 450W PSU is a little too close for comfort. To be clear that system needs a 400W PSU as a minimum. Some might call the 550W I chose as overkill but it's best to add at least 20% to the build's power needs. This results in the PSU not having to work so hard which results in a quieter and cooler PSU.

Just to be very specific to what you have asked, always do a overkill in terms of PSU. If your recommended PSU (should be always a bit higher than your peak pc requirement as suggested by any reputed PSU calculator site) is say 450W always select a 550W model. Now you might get a bit less efficiency as most of the good +80 Bronze or higher psu will work to its max efficiency at about 70-80% load level. however capacitor do age over time and gradually you will loose head room. Now we upgrade our GPU and other things in PC with our maturity but not always the PSU which is the heart of your system. So don't compromise on your heart (PSU) because you don't know at what age you have to run a marathon. I am running a 850W gold from Seasonic as I have planned for a sli in future. but never regretted my decision. It runs quiet and cool always though at a bit lower efficiency. Do check a PSU load line graph to know more.

A PSU works best at less than 80% load. It's also going to be quieter and cooler. Overprovisioning? Yes please.
