CPU will bottleneck you for AAA games. But for those two games, you are perfectly fine 
that cpu wont bottleneck at all on any game in any real sense. especially if your running with vsnc/gsync on.
jeez some people really do think that intel have made such huge leaps per gen on there cpu's to the point if you dont have the absolute latest you will be bottlenecked by it.
its around 4% per gen in most cases with a quad core.

the 2600k is a much older cpu but keeps up well with the latest coffee lake cpu's in gaming... the OP's cpu sits in the middle...

1070 is a wiser buy for a 144hz 1080p screen mate.
the 1080 may cause some games to bottleneck the cpu because the screen is comparatively small.
and its certainly overkill for the games you mentioned... so is the 1070 for that matter.
