Built a basic system, was working fine, then the display and keyboard would start shutting down in the middle of a game. Motherboard lights and system fans were still on (but not video card). Every game I played, same issue.
System temps never went beyond specs (according to CPUID), but it would shutdown and I would have to hold the power button down for a hard shutoff. And since the motherboard's onboard graphics don't work, plugging in a VGA monitor when the shutdown happened was pointless. No way to tell if it's still running or if the lights are on and no one's home.
When I bring the PC back up, it's in perfect working order, and I can do anything. So I tried an Intel Burn Test and within 10 seconds of start, the display and keyboard shutoff (but not the mouse).
Initially I thought I was having video card issues, and have a replacement GPU coming from Amazon, but now I'm thinking I'm having CPU issues.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
System:
Ryzen 5 1500x
MSI B350 Gaming Plus
EVGA Geforce 1060 6GB
EVGA 450W BRONZE
Windows 10
