Hi Everyone,

I'm back! My 4 year old gaming PC is slow and I'm ready for an upgrade! Let's do it again!

Budget - $4000-4500 for PC and Monitor
Tasks - Gaming & Work. CSGO, Starcraft, Video Editing, Photoshop, Programming/Developing
Website - Prefer to buy on Amazon but open to other sites :)

What do you think of this build?
CPU - Intel Core i7-7820X Processor - $580
GRAPHICS - (2) Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Windforce OC GV-N1080WF3OC-8GD Graphics Cards - $1100
SSD - SanDisk 1TB Ultra 3D NAND SATA III SSD - 2.5-inch Solid State Drive - SDSSDH3-1T00-G25 - $280
MEMORY - (2) Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 Desktop Memory Kit - $320
POWER SUPPLY - Seasonic Power supply Power Supply SSR-1200GD - $200
COOLING - Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler - $110
OS - Windows 10 Professional - $180
MOTHERBOARD - RECOMMEND ONE PLEASE (Type C USB would be useful!)
CASE - RECOMMEND ONE? SMALLER FOOTPRINT IS PREFERRED.
TOTAL: ~$3000-3500

P.S. I have budgeted out another ~$1000 for a MONITOR. I like the Acer Predator 34-inch Curved UltraWide QHD (3440 x 1440) NVIDIA G-Sync Widescreen Display (X34 bmiphz) -- the 34 inch screen may be very useful for work.

Nice most parts listed seem to be compatible...When buying a mobo u should probably look for a newer z270. i can defiantly recommend them!
For a case.. if u are getting an ATX form factor look for an ATX case. I have an ATX case... Fractal design. It is quite big so if space is an issue then u might want to use a smaller case. m-atx case = m-atx mobo if u did't already know. And have fun building! + that's a noice GPU!

This is a good question. I honestly don't know the answer to it. I want the most flexibility I can get since I use so many different programs, games, etc.

Hi there, thank you for the help. I appreciate that. I much prefer the smaller cases.
I changed this setup a little bit (not sure if the i7-7820x is quite worth it, and some other changes). What do you think?

I have that exact case, and I love it. It is quite cavernous inside, so plenty of room for airflow/cable management. If you are looking for a smaller case, then I would warn you that the Corsair 750D is a full tower. Otherwise, that is a fabulous build. Good luck!
