I am a semi pro gamer. I am planning to buy a gaming laptop ~ 1200$... I used to play in my Desktop but since my work needs me to move around I can’t do anything... It doesn’t Even have to be a laptop, it can be a small cabinet that supports... But my main concern is I want the rig to be atleast 4 year spec proof... I.e. I don’t want my specs to become outdated soon, making The rig useless... Suggest an idea please

Greetings!

Being a desktop user, I am not too informed as to the best laptop for you, but here is a really neat option that might be worth considering:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856158060&cm_re=ASRock_Deskmini-_-56-158-060-_-Product

They are expensive in comparison, but pretty cool in my opinion.

Hope this helps!

p.s. There are also other options:

That was a great choice for consideration... Thanks... But perhaps my fear has become more that since coffee lake has been released then soon games might start favouring the high power and rendering my rig almost...

Perfect example being I bought an i5-760 in 2010 which was new in the market and it supported any games I threw at it until probably end of 2016 and even then it was mostly cooling issue that I was not able to handle than the processor... But I knew that the CPU was a bottle neck to my GTX970 which I later installed...

I am running out of patience and I am running dry thinking about buying a expensive medium spec portable laptop or moderate priced non-portable high spec Desktop...
